Monday was International Women’s Day so we would like to recognise it by acknowledging and uplifting some of the amazing women that have helped Irish Community Services get where it is today!
Did you know it was a group of talented women that brought the first ever Irish Community Services lunch club to fruition? From the organising to catering and everything in between, it was their hard work that birthed the beloved event that we all cannot wait to enjoy again.
The Irish Community Services team today consists of wonderful, talented women that have brought you many events and initiatives over the course of this pandemic to keep everyone connected.
This includes our community online project, navigated by the brilliant Jo, our elders outreach programme co-ordinated by the amazing Anne and Pat and our under 55 services overseen by the wonderful Mary. Additionally, we have our phenomenal women behind the scenes such as Sarah and Sheryce in finance and marketing and, of course, we could not celebrate International Women’s Day without mentioning our outstanding director, Shauna. Her amazing leadership this past year have been integral in ICS’ success and our being able to keep you all connected.
All we do would not be possible without the brilliant women that volunteer to help. To the creative, talented women that have been volunteering and supporting ICS since our foundation right up to this very day, thank you- you have played a vital role in our journey.
And to all the women out there, we celebrate you, your achievements, and your greatness. Here’s to you!
