A St. Patrick's Day To Remember

Last Wednesday was St. Patrick’s Day and here at Irish Community Services, we certainly celebrated the day to say the least.

The fun kicked off on Zoom (in true lockdown fashion) at our St. Patrick’s Day virtual celebration which 75 of you attended! We are so happy to have had such an incredible turn out and hope you all enjoyed yourselves, had a drink, some laughs, and a boogie. We would like to give a big ICS thank you to Gerry Kelly for the amazing live music and to Mayor Linda Bird for joining our celebration.

As if this was not enough to have made our day, we were also incredibly grateful to have had our St. Patrick’s Day video played on the big screen in Woolwich throughout the day. If you missed it, it was a 5-minute video full of music and interviews of the Irish in South-East London telling us what St. Patrick’s Day means to them. To the Royal Borough of Greenwich- thank you- lending us this brilliant platform for the day meant so much.

If you could not tell already, here at ICS, we sure know how to celebrate. Do you want to be the first to know and even get priority for our next event? Well then, the luck of the Irish has struck for you because our all-new, revamped membership is officially live and accepting members! Quarterly prize draws, days out, and birthday treats are just a few of the luxuries we have available for you to enjoy when you become an Irish Community Services member. Join us, support us and be a part of something wonderful. Give us a call on 0208 854 4466 or email office@irishcommunityservices.org.uk to find out more.

Thank you all for your kind St. Patrick’s Day messages and cards and we hope you all had a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day too. Next year, we’ll go even bigger!
