An Afternoon To Remember

On Thursday 7th October, Irish Community Services had the pleasure of hosting our Tea Dance and what an afternoon it was.

The brilliant Gerry Kelly welcomed attendees with euphonious music and many of you saw old friends and made new ones. It was not long until we were all up and having a groove to the music!

After working up quite the appetite, our brilliant team and volunteers shared out some lovely tea party treats to our guests accompanied with some hot and cold drinks. That certainly gave everyone their second wind because, before you knew it, everyone was back on the dancefloor! Doing all the classics and more, we definitely worked off those scrumptious cakes.

As the afternoon drew to a close, the raffle competition took place and some lucky people won brilliant goodies from whisky to smellies and more. Congratulations to everyone who won.

Thank you to Gerry Kelly for the wonderful music, to the Glyndon Community Centre for hiring the space to us, to our indispensable volunteers who were so helpful, to the Aviva Community Fund for supporting our events, to Barbara at Asda Bexleyheath for the donation of cakes and treats and to all of the lovely guests that joined us to enjoy the day.

We go again for our final tea cake club of the month next Thursday so don't miss out!
